Penn State has caught a significant stride on the recruiting trail after opening the season with a dominating win.
On Tuesday, the Nittany Lions earned a commitment from four-star offensive lineman Malachi Goodman, the second prospect to announce his pledge to the program’s 2025 class in two days.
The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Goodman hails from Paramus, New Jersey, and ranks as the nation’s No. 8 interior lineman and No. 146 prospect overall, per 247Sports. That makes Goodman, who attends Paramus Catholic, the team’s second-highest ranked recruit this cycle, trailing only four-star cornerback Daryus Dixson.
Goodman’s commitment comes just a day after Penn State earned a pledge from four-star athlete Matthew Outten, who will likely play wide receiver when he steps on campus.
The Nittany Lions’ 2025 class now sits at 25 members, and Goodman joins Owen Aliciene and Michael Troutman as the third offensive lineman to commit. He’s also the group’s the third prospect from New Jersey, joining Troutman, cornerback Jahmir Joseph and safety Braswell Thomas.
