Penn State Adds Commitment From Swedish Offensive Tackle Oscar Webersink

Penn State football expanded its 2027 recruiting class to the international level.

The Nittany Lions on Tuesday afternoon landed a pledge from three-star offensive tackle Oscar Webersink from Sweden. Webersink recently moved to the United States, where he attends St. Thomas More High School in Connecticut.

Listed at 6-foot-8 and 290 pounds, Webersink has been praised for his freakish athletic ability and is considered a raw but talented addition to the class. He’s ranked as the No. 3 recruit out of Connecticut, No. 76 offensive tackle and No. 906 overall prospect in the class.

Webersink has recently gained traction on the recruiting trail while making the rounds to several camps, including one at Penn State in early June where he picked up an offer. Webersink also holds offers from Florida State, Maryland, Northwestern and West Virginia, with others likely to follow as he enters his senior season of high school this fall.

Following the commitment, the Nittany Lions’ class is up to 22 members, including five offensive linemen, and is holding steady in the top 25 nationally, per the 247Sports composite.
