For our guided outings, the trail travels through the Rapid Run Natural Area, the first State Park Natural Area. Natural areas were established for scientific observation, to protect native plant and wildlife communities, and to preserve its beauty for future generations. Guides will talk about the park’s environmental history, while observing our native plant and wildlife species.

What To Expect: Trails are grass or dirt with some uneven terrain and narrow passages through rock beds.
