Penn State’s 2025 recruiting class landed a quarterback on Tuesday night as three-star prospect Bekkem Kritza announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions.

Hailing from Fairview High School in Boulder, Colorado, Kritza chose Penn State over offers from Colorado, Colorado State, Miami, Texas A&M and Washington, among others.

The 6-foot-5, 182-pound Kritza is rated the No. 30 quarterback prospect in the country and No. 1 player in Colorado for the 2025 recruiting cycle, according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings.

Kritza visited Penn State on Saturday and made his commitment after the Nittany Lions’ 24-15 loss to Michigan and the firing of offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich.

“The vibe and just how the coaches talked to me during the recruiting process really blew me away,” Kritza told 247 Sports. “They care about me the same off the field as they do on. That’s what really separates them for me. Their fanbase and that environment on game day is one of a kind and I see myself playing in that environment for sure.”

Kritza is the sixth commitment to Penn State’s 2025 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 7 in the nation in the 247 Composite. The group also includes four-star linebacker DJ McClary, four-star running backs Kiandrea Barker and Tiqwai Hayes, four-star tight end Brady O’Hara and three-star safety Omari Gaines.
