U.S. Rep. Glenn ‘G.T.’ Thompson, R-Howard, is scheduled to deliver a free, public talk tonight on national security in the post-9/11 era.
His talk, hosted by the Penn State chapter of Young Americans for freedom, is set to begin at 8 p.m. in room 110 of Wartik Lab, University Park. Its official title: ‘American Security in the Wake of 9/11.’
Thompson, a Penn State alum, is scheduled to take audience members’ questions starting at 9 p.m., according to an event announcement. He is running for reelection this year to the U.S. House seat representing the Fifth Congressional District; the Democratic nominee is Michael Pipe, another Penn State alum.
The room in Wartik holds about 150 people.
