If the local government officials of Benner Township believe in transparency and keeping all area residents informed, then Benner Township absolutely needs C-NET.
Remember the 1-million-square-foot fulfillment center that is still planned for Benner Township? Since that huge warehouse was last discussed in the local media in August 2022, we still do not know who the future occupant will be.
Does the township know anything about that unknown future occupant’s planned usage of that fulfillment center? Do they care about that or is the hope for 700 new jobs sufficient justification to not ruffle anyone’s feathers?
Do we really agree the continuing silence is acceptable due to a non-disclosure agreement being in place? Is that why we gave up on even questioning that specific non-disclosed detail about planned usage?
Benner Township leadership will continue to sit back in silence and they expect you to do the same.

Ferguson Township Stormwater Fee Out of Control
Ferguson Township residents and business property owners should be alarmed at the proposed stormwater expenditures planned which will undoubtedly lead to an increase in the already excessive stormwater fee. Ferguson Township is the ONLY municipality in Centre County that levies a stormwater fee on its property owners. Currently the fee annually produces nearly $1.3 million. The township proposes to spend over $4 million annually over the next five years. If supported by a fee residential homeowners will be asked to pay nearly $400 per year in just the stormwater fee in addition to their real estate taxes.
If the stormwater fee is not increased to meet the need, then real estate taxes will have to be more than doubled to produce sufficient funds to pay for the proposed projects. When is enough, enough?
This program is out of control. Ask yourself, how do the other county municipalities meet the required state and federal stormwater mandates without excessive fees or taxes on their property owners? Voters can change the direction of this out-of-control stormwater program by voting for new township
supervisors.
Please vote for a change by electing Ken Raney and David Wolfgang Ferguson Township Supervisors.
