Centre County reported 14 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday to bring its total to 17,308, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Pennsylvania added 2,027 positives to increase the statewide total to 1,253,992.
The county also reported 50 negative test results for a total of 74,221. Statewide, there were 5,299 new negatives for a total of 5,026,793.
According to the DOH hospital preparedness dashboard, 13 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in Centre County, unchanged from Monday. Two are in intensive care and on ventilators.
Statewide COVID-19 hospitalizations continue to rise. Pennsylvania has 1,196 COVID-19 inpatients, an increase of 81 since Monday, with 316 in intensive care [+15] and 139 on ventilators [+11].
DOH reported no new deaths attributed to the virus among Centre County residents, keeping the total at 229.
With 27 new COVID-19 deaths since Saturday, when the figures were last updated, Pennsylvania’s total is now 27,993.
An estimated 95% of COVID-19 patients in the state have recovered, according to a DOH calculation.
As of Tuesday morning, 78,929 people in Centre County are fully vaccinated and 6,098 are partially covered.
