A summertime tradition for two decades, WingFest returns to Tussey Mountain Amphitheater in Boalsburg on Thursday.

Each Thursday evening for seven weeks, fest-goers will be able to enjoy live music while sampling wings from local restaurants competing to be this year’s wing king .

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. each Thursday through Aug. 4. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for youth ages 7 to 16 and free for kids 6 and younger. Parking is free.

Once inside, cash can be used to purchase amphitheater tickets for wings, drinks and other items. Tickets never expire.

In addition to the rotating series of restaurants serving up their special wing recipes, other food vendors will be on hand each week, including Doan’s Bones BBQ, Rosie’s Pierogies, Packer’s Concessions, Carl’s Crazy Corn, Brazilian Munchies and Marin Eats.

WingFest 2022 kicks off this week with musical headliner Bonfire: A Tribute to AC/DC and opener J.R. Mangan Band, while the first round of restaurants will feature Cafe 210 West, Sweet Tooth Bakery and Edges Pub.

Popular local duo Anchor & Arrow will emcee this year’s WingFest events and perform a few songs in between bands.

The headliner lineup for the remainder of the summer includes:
