You can add yet another concert to the Bryce Jordan Center’s loaded 2023 lineup.
Rock band Shinedown will bring its upcoming national tour to Happy Valley on April 8, the Jordan Center announced on Monday. The concert will mark the group’s third show at Penn State over the last eight years.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. ahead of the 7 p.m. concert. Special guests Three Days Grace and From Ashes to New will open.
General public tickets are on sale starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, while discounted student ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15. Tickets start at $35, according to the Bryce Jordan Center’s event page, and Penn State students are eligible for up to $20 off select tickets.
Shinedown will kick off its “The Revolutions Live” tour with an April 3 concert in Saginaw, Michigan, before traveling to 21 more cities through mid-May. The band’s April 10 show in Wilkes-Barre marks its only other scheduled performance in Pennsylvania.
Shinedown’s 2023 tour follows the release of its 2022 studio album, “Planet Zero.” Formed in 2001 and known for hits like “Second Chance” and “Cut the Cord,” the group has released seven studio albums and produced a record 18 No. 1 singles on the Billboard “Mainstream Rock” charts, according to the famed music and entertainment magazine.
Shinedown is no stranger to performances at the Jordan Center. The Jacksonville-based band performed at the Penn State arena in 2015 and 2019.
Following Monday’s tour announcement, Shinedown joins a packed slate of upcoming Bryce Jordan Center concerts, including 2023 shows by Carrie Underwood, Bruce Springsteen, Journey, Thomas Rhett, Kenny Chesney, Casting Crowns and Walker Hayes.
