Penn State rising senior forward Jevonnie Scott will not be returning to the program, a spokesperson confirmed to StateCollege.com on Tuesday morning. Scott appeared in 11 games last season for the Nittany Lions averaging just over one point and one rebound per game in just over six minutes of action on average. Scott will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Scott is the second departure from the Nittany Lions this offseason following in the wake of guard Sam Sessoms who transferred to Coppin State after the conclusion of Penn State’s 2021-22 season. Freshman guard Irekefe Oweh also reportedly entered the transfer portal this spring.
Penn State has added three transfer players to the roster this summer in Andrew Funk, Camren Wynter and big man Michael Henn, who announced his transfer commitment to the Nittany Lions on Monday evening.
The Nittany Lions also will welcome five freshmen in one of the highest ranked recruiting classes in program history.
Penn State welcomes back a host of experienced players this season with a group headlined by the likes of guards Myles Dread and Jalen Pickett as well as forward Seth Lundy.
