Beloved rock band Journey is bringing its latest tour to Happy Valley next year.
The Bryce Jordan Center announced on Monday that it will host the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers on Friday, March 3. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. ahead of the 7:30 p.m. concert.
Journey, inducted into the Rock Hall in 2017, will bring its 2023 “Freedom Tour” to the area alongside Toto, known for smash hits like “Africa” and “Hold The Line.” The upcoming tour comes as part of the band’s 50th-anniversary celebration.
“Excited to perform for our fans as we tour next year with Toto,” Journey keyboardist Jonathan Cain said in a press release on Monday. “The combined hits of both bands represent a couple of decades of excellence that have become a soundtrack for people’s lives. The music of Journey along with the music of Toto is an example of ‘certain music’ during ‘uncertain times.’”
General public tickets for Journey’s concert will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, while discounted student tickets will be available starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20. Ticket prices will range from $35 to $149.40, according to the arena’s event page.
Additional ticket packages, named after Journey hits like “Lights” and “Separate Ways,” offer reserved floor seating, VIP parking and more. They’re available starting at $299.
Journey’s 2023 tour will take the band across the country, kicking off on Feb. 4 with a concert in Allentown, the group’s only other Pennsylvania show.
Journey last performed at the Bryce Jordan Center in 2005 to the tune of a 32-song setlist.
Following Monday’s tour announcement, Journey joins a packed slate of upcoming Bryce Jordan Center acts, including 2023 shows by Carrie Underwood and Bruce Springsteen.
