ALTOONA — The James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center is hosting multiple drive-thru flu clinics throughout September and October.

The Vaccine Clinics began on Sept. 27 and will be held at each of the community based Outpatient Clinics in DuBois, Huntingdon, Johnstown, Indiana, State College, and at the main facility in Altoona.

Already enrolled Veterans, and those enrolled in the Caregiver Support Program are encouraged to attend. Veterans who are not yet enrolled in VA healthcare can also receive a Flu Vaccine by bringing a copy of their DD214 with them to the clinics.

Drive-thru Flu Shot Clinics are scheduled on Oct. 4 from 8 a.m. to noon at State College, Huntingdon, Indiana and DuBois locations.

Veterans who cannot attend one of the scheduled clinics can receive one at Primary Care appointments. Call the local clinic to schedule an appointment if needed. Walk in hours are also available at the main medical center, starting Sept. 22 every Monday and Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to noon and Thursdays from noon to 3 p.m. until Nov. 25.
