State College wins District 6 Boys’ golf championship.

STATE COLLEGE — The State College boys golf team won the District 6, AAA Golf Championship on Sept. 30 at Sinking Valley Country Club with an outstanding team score of 5-over par 293.

The Little Lions also took the top four positions in the Individual Tournament and five out of the top six.

Charlie Ladrido and Luke McGraw tied for top individual honors with even-par 72s, and Ladrido won the title in extra holes.

Jacky Sun was third with a 74, and Brady Wager was fourth with a 75. 

Luke Ladrido was sixth, Ty Miller, seventh, and Alex Hoskins was ninth.

In the AA Tournament, Jacob Pynos of River Valley took first place with a 2-under par 70, and Bishop Guilfoyle won the team title.

Philipsburg-Osceola’s Jake Lucas finished fourth with a 2-over 74 and qualified for the PIAA State Tournament which is scheduled for the Penn State Golf Courses, Oct. 20-22.
