South Hills students compete at FBLA Collegiate National Conference

STATE COLLEGE — The South Hills School of Business and Technology recently announced that three Business Administration — Management and Marketing students competed at the Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate National Conference that took place in Dallas in June.

Representing South Hills were first-year students Nora May, Emily Boyd and Aiden Gingerrich. The three students competed in a variety of business-related events in which they each had the opportunity to demonstrate leadership and excellence in their respective areas.

May was awarded first place at the national conference in the Fundamentals of Hospitality Management, which South Hills expressed, highlighting her talents and the strengths of the school’s curriculum.

Moreover, Boyd and Gingerich were elected to the Pennsylvania FBLA State Team, with Boyd serving as vice president for the team and Gingerich serving as the team’s secretary.

“We are incredibly proud of Nora, Emily and Aiden for their hard work, leadership, and professionalism on the national stage,” Barb Chadick, director of student services, said. “They have truly made South Hills proud.”
