CLEARFIELD — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced the following schedule of maintenance activities in Centre County for this week. PennDOT performs year-round maintenance in its mission to provide a safe, efficient transportation system, and the scope of work in Centre County for the coming week is as follows:
Bridge Maintenance & Cleaning
- Route 2012 (Penns Creek Road) at a bridge spanning Greenbriar Gap Run two miles southwest of Coburn in Penn Township through through Friday, Sept. 26. This work takes place off the roadway and has little, if any, traffic impact.
- Route 3042 (Skytop Mountain Road) at a pair bridges spanning Route 3040 (Eagle Valley/Plank Road/Union Street) and Bald Eagle Creek in Worth Township through Friday, Sept. 26. PennDOT will implement single-lane closures while this work is completed.
Crack Seal & Hot Pour Mastic
- Route 192 between Emery Road in Potter Township and the Centre-Union County line in Miles Township through Friday, Sept. 26. Flaggers in the roadway will provide traffic control during daylight hours.
Guide Rail
- Interstate 99 between mile markers 58 and 67 through Friday, Sept. 26. PennDOT will implement single-lane closures while this work is completed.
Pipe Replacing & Cleaning
- Route 1010 (Hubler Ridge/Jacob/Jacksonville Road) between Route 64 in Walker Township and the Centre-Clinton County line in Marion Township through Friday, Sept. 26. Flaggers in the roadway will provide traffic control during daylight hours.
- Route 3040 (Plank/South Eagle Vally Road/Union Street) between the Blair-Centre County line in Taylor Township and Beaver Road in Huston Township through Friday, Sept. 26. Flaggers in the roadway will provide traffic control during daylight hours.
Shoulder Maintenance
- Route 1002 (Little Marsh Creek Road) between Artz Road in Boggs Township and Ridge Crest Drive in Liberty Township through Friday, Sept. 26. Flaggers in the roadway will provide traffic control during daylight hours.
Vegetation Management
- I-99 between mile markers 55 and 85 through Friday, Sept. 26. This work takes place off the roadway and has little, if any, traffic impact.
- Route 144 between Curtin Street in Bellefonte Borough and the Centre-Clinton County line in Curtin Township through Friday, Sept. 26. This work takes place off the roadway and has little, if any, traffic impact.
- This schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, emergencies, or other unforeseen interruptions.
