CENTRE COUNTY –The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced the following schedule of maintenance activities in Centre County the remainder of the week of Oct. 27.
PennDOT performs year-round maintenance in its mission to provide a safe, efficient transportation system, and the scope of work in Centre County for the coming week is as follows:
Bridge maintenance & cleaning
- Route 2006 (Rock Hill Road) at a bridge spanning Hayes Run in Harris Township through Friday, Oct. 31. PennDOT will implement a detour using Linden Hall Road, Route 45, and Route 144.
Litter control
- Interstate 80 eastbound between mile markers 138 and 170 through Thursday, Oct. 30. This work takes place off the roadway and has minimal, if any, traffic impact.
Pipe replacing & cleaning
- Route 3042 (Skytop Mountain Road) starting at the on-off ramps in Worth Township and continuing eastbound approximately 1.25 miles into Huston Township through Friday, Oct. 31.
Shoulder maintenance
- Route 1002 (Marsh Creek Road) between Circle Road in Boggs Township and Upper Polecat Road in Liberty Township through Friday, Oct. 31. Flaggers in the roadway will provide traffic control during daylight hours and may deploy a pilot vehicle.
Side dozing
- Route 144 between Forge Road in Spring Township and Route 322 in Potter Township through Friday, Oct. 31.
