CENTRE COUNTY – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced the following schedule of maintenance activities in Centre County the week of Sept. 29. PennDOT performs year-round maintenance in its mission to provide a safe, efficient transportation system, and the scope of work in Centre County now through Friday, Oct. 3 is as follows:
Bridge maintenance and cleaning
- Route 2012 (Penns Creek Road) at a bridge spanning Greenbriar Gap Run two miles southwest of Coburn in Penn Township.
- Route 3042 (Skytop Mountain Road) at a pair bridges spanning Route 3040 (Eagle Valley/Plank Road/Union Street) and Bald Eagle Creek in Worth Township.
Crack seal and hot pour mastic
- Route 192 between Emery Road in Potter Township and the Centre-Union County line in Miles Township.
Guide rail
- Route 322 between a bridge spanning Moshannon Creek at the Centre-Clearfield County line in Rush Township and the Interstate 99 junction in Worth Township.
Pipe replacing and cleaning
- Route 1010 (Hubler Ridge/Jacob/Jacksonville Road) between Route 64 in Walker Township and the Centre-Clinton County line in Marion Township.
- Route 3042 (Skytop Mountain Road/Laurel Run Road/High Street) between Custred Lane in Worth Township and a bridge spanning Interstate 99 in Patton Township.
Vegetation management
- All of Route 322 in Centre County.
- Interstate 99 between mile markers 55 and 85.
- This schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, emergencies, or other unforeseen interruptions.
