State College leaf collection
STATE COLLEGE — Fall leaf collection runs now through Dec. 11. Public works crews will collect leaves once each week throughout the Borough until collection ends. Leaves should be ready for collection by 7 a.m. each Monday. Rake leaves within 5 feet of the curb and do not place leaves in bags. Please refrain from blowing or raking leaves into the street. Leaves should be free of brush, glass, cans, rocks, or other debris, as these items may cause damage to the collection equipment. Foreign objects and debris mixed in with leaves also add contaminants to our compost materials making it more difficult to produce a quality product. After Dec. 11, un-bagged leaves can be placed in your organics cart which will be collected on your normal refuse collection day.
