SALIX — In what was a major accomplishment, St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy senior Madison Koshko won her fourth consecutive PIAA District VI AA Girls Golf Championship on Oct. 2 at Windber Country Club.
She not only won the D6 Title, but she also set a new Windber Country Club course record for the women’s tees with a pro-level 10-under par 62.
This was the third course record set by Koshko during the high school season. She also set course records at Lost Creek Country Club in Oakland Mills and Belle Springs Golf Course in Mill Hall.
As a freshman, Koshko won the PIAA District VI AA championship in 2022 with a score of 74 (+2), as a sophomore in 2023 with a score of 71 (-1), and as a junior in 2024 with a score of 69 (-3).
Koshko also won the PIAA AA State Girls Golf Championship in 2024.
Koshko’s sister, Olivia, is a sophomore at St. Joseph’s and placed second in the PIAA District VI Class 2A Championship.
Both girls now move on to the PIAA AA State Golf Championship, which will be held Oct. 20-21 at the Penn State golf courses.
