COLUMBUS, Ohio —Little West Tavern of Cincinnati, Ohio, is celebrating the Ohio State University football season through a new friendly competition series: Campus Cookoff.
Featuring four events — each one held the evening before Ohio State’s conference home games — the series will pit the best of the visiting team market’s burger offerings against Little West Tavern’s Chef Don Petito for an evening of fun, friendly competition and mouthwatering burgers.
Campus Cookoffs will take place at Little West Tavern the evening before each Ohio State conference home game from 5-8 p.m., and will include a prix-fixe menu with one burger prepared by Little West Tavern and one by the visiting chef, plus bottomless fries. Attendees will then use a paper ballot to vote for their favorite burger. The winner will be announced at 8:30 p.m., who will take home the coveted trophy.
The event dates and visiting chefs are:
- Friday, Oct. 3 – University of Minnesota: Featuring 5-8 Club, Minneapolis, Minn.
- Friday, Oct. 31 – Penn State University: Featuring The Field Burger & Tap, State College
- Friday, Nov. 14 – UCLA: Featuring Proudly Serving, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach, Calif.
- Friday, Nov. 22 – Rutgers University: Featuring Clydz, New Brunswick, N.J.
