In his last game of the season, quarterback Drew Allar threw for 137 yards and ran for 25 yards and a touchdown. It was his 12th career running touchdown, and he also went over 1000 career passing attempts in the game.
Kaytron Allen ran 16 times for 90 yards and scored his 31st career touchdown. He now has 3344 career yards, and he just passed Curtis Enis, Blair Thoms and Tony Hunt in career yards. He has scored a touchdown in every game this year.
Penn State held Northwestern to 282 total yards including 163 passing and 119 rushing. The Lions also got their eighth takeaway and got a red zone stop.
Ethan Grunkemeyer so far this season has played in four games and completed 8-of-11 passes for 105 yards and a touchdown.
Penn State is still outgaining opponents 370 yards per game to 302, and the Lions have scored 15 rushing touchdowns. Penn State averages 200 passing yards per game.
This will be the 33rd time Penn State meets Iowa with the Lions holding an 18-14 advantage. Penn State’s defense dominated the last time the two teams met in a 31-0 victory at PSU in 2023. Penn State had four takeaways in that game.
Iowa ran for over 200 yards in its 37-0 win over Wisconsin last week and the Hawkeyes recorded three takeaways. Quarterback Mark Gronowski has scored a rushing touchdown in every game this season and has a total of eight.
Iowa has a six-game winning streak at Kinnick Stadium.
