–New receivers Kyron Hudson and Trebor Pena combined to make 13 catches for 163 yards and a touchdown in PSU’s win over Nevada.

–Penn State had four rushing TDs despite running for just 135 yards in the game. Kaytron Allen led the team with 43 yards on 8 carries and a touchdown.

–Nevada quarterback Chubba Purdy was the leading rusher for Nevada with 55 net yards to go along with his 97 yards passing on 7 completions. The second-leading rusher was AJ Bianco with 12 yards.

–Drew Allar: 22-for-26, 217 yds, 1 TD; Ethan Grunkemeyer: 7-for-9, 86 yds.

–Penn State scored on its first nine possessions against Nevada, and the Lions did not punt in the game.

–This was Allar’s 24th career win as the PSU starting quarterback, and the 31-yard TD pass to Hudson was the 54th in his career.

–Nicholas Singleton now has 34 rushing touchdowns, and Kaytron Allen has 25.

–Penn State’s other transfer receiver, Devonte Ross, has been slowed by injury but he still made a second-period catch.

–Penn State tight ends–Khalil Dinkins, Andrew Rappleyea, and Luke Reynolds–quietly had 6 catches for 68 yards.

–Kicker Ryan Barker had four field goals of 28, 28, 32 and 39 yards and is now 19-for-22 in his career.

–The Big Ten went 16-2 over the first weekend with the big win being Ohio State 14-7 over Texas. The only losing teams were UCLA to Utah and Northwestern to Tulane.

–Penn State will kick off at 12 noon on Saturday against Florida International.
