–Four Nittany Lions were named to the Associated Press Preseason All-America Team: DT Zane Durant, OT Olaivavega Ioane, RB Nicholas Singleton were First Team and RB Kaytron Allen was Second Team.
–QB Drew Allar has been named to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm watch list along with the Davey O’Brien Award, Manning Award, Maxwell Award, and Walter Camp Player of the Year Award watch lists.
–Durant and Ioane are also on the Lombardi Award List while Dani Dsnnis-Sutton, A.J. Harris and Durant are on the Bednarik Award List.
–Two of three of PSU’s new wide receivers are on award lists. Trebor Pena and Devonte Ross are on the Biletnikoff List, and tight end Khalil Dinkins is on the Mackey Award List.
–According to the Penn State web site, fans can begin game day at the Bud Light Backyard Beer Garden at Gate F. Doors will open three hours before kickoff and there will be lawn games, TVs, and a premium bar open to all fans.
–Phase 1 of the Beaver Stadium renovation is complete and fans will see many changes and improvements, mostly on the west side of the stadium.
–The Nevada game will be the first one played on West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium after a gift from the Werzyn Family and West Shore Home.
