Burning of the Canes
Vineyard canes will be lit at Mount Nittany Vineyard & Winery, 300 Houser Rd., Centre Hall, for a bonfire benefitting the Boalsburg Fire Department. Doan’s Bones food truck. Bring a lawn chair for the best view. $10 cash donation requested.
Downtown State College Farmers Market
Farmers and residents of Centre County can mutually benefit from a market of locally produced items from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Locust Lane in State College. Every vendor is required to personally produce the items that they sell.
Saturday, Oct. 11
Bellefonte Farmers Market
Locally produced and raised items will include frozen meats, live plants, dried florals and fresh eggs. Located in the gravel lot adjacent to Centre Peace, 3047 Benner Pike, Bellefonte from 9 a.m. to noon.
North Atherton Farmers Market
The North Atherton Farmers Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Home Depot Parking lot off North Atherton Street in State College. It is a producers-only market which requires that vendors sell only what they produce, grow or make. In addition to the many small farmers that vend their products at the market, the NAFM is also proud to feature local bakeries, specialty food vendors, producers of farm-based products and more.

Dance at Centre Ballroom

Boalsburg Renaissance Faire
The Columbus Chapel and Boal Mansion Museum in Boalsburg will be hosting its annual Boalsburg Renaissance Faire on Sunday, Oct. 12. The Faire runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Boalsburg.
America 250 Event
Bellefonte chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution will host an America 250 event – a dedication of a Revolutionary War Patriot marker honoring brave men and women of Penns Valley who fought for American independence. This event will be held on Oct. 12 at Potter Run Park, Rte. 144 in Spring Mills at 2 p.m.
Organ Concert
Dr. Mark Ferraguto will perform an inaugural concert from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the rebuilt 1932 Hall organ at Faith United Church of Christ, 300 E. College Ave., State College. Program to include works by Bach, Böellmann, Thalben-Ball, Lefébure-Wély, Hans Zimmer, and more.

Investment Club to meet
Centre Region Model Investment Club of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of Better Investing will meet Monday, Oct. 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at South Hills Business School on Waupelani Drive in State College. A directional sign will be posted. There is also a remote virtual option to attend. This is an educational club that uses the principles of Better Investing to learn about stocks. Bellefonte Cash Bingo
Cash BINGO at St. John’s Catholic School, 116 East Bishop St., Bellefonte. Paying out $850 each evening. Doors will open to the public for food and Games of Chance at 6 p.m., and the first BINGO will begin at 7 p.m. $20 for 20 games. Walk-ins welcome. Smoke Free facility.
