LEGO CLUB
Centre County Library & Historical Museum, 200 N. Allegheny St., Bellefonte, will host Lego Club from 3 to 4 p.m. in the community room. The event is open to all ages. Children and their families are invited to drop into the library and play with LEGOs, Duplos, and other building supplies! Creations will be displayed in our LEGO display case afterwards. No need to register, just drop in.
TROMBONIST
Trombonist Jay T. Vonada will be performing from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at RE Farm Café, 1000 S. Fillmore Rd. in State College.
LEGO HOUR
Children age 5 to 13 are invited to build with library provided LEGOs and other materials at Centre Hall Area Branch Library, 109 W. Beryl St., Centre Hall from 3 to 4 p.m. Weekly building challenges are suggested, but free building is also encouraged. Creations will be displayed in the library for one week. No registration is necessary, just drop in.
PINE GROVE MILLS FARMER MARKET
Pine Grove Mills Farmers Market will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church parking lot, 277 W. Pine Grove Rd., Pine Grove Mills from 3 to 7 p.m. Local farmers have seasonal fruit and veggies, a large variety of pasture-raised meat, brown eggs, and cheese. Local, small businesses have beer, coffee, bread and baked goods. Vendors you meet directly produce your food and can answer any questions you might have.
CREATIVE STUDIO SUSTAINABLE ART
Reclaim used papers, envelopes, and junk mail to make a custom art journal, and fill it with us throughout the fall program series, inspired by the special exhibition Mark Dion and Alexis Rockman: Journey to Nature’s Underworld. Creative Studio sessions offer art-based creative activities designed to encourage relaxation, connection with others, and rejuvenation of spirit. Hosted by art educators, interns, or guest artists, these sessions will focus on the practice of creativity, exploring artistic mediums, and making personal connections rather than on final products. The free program is held at Palmer Museum of Art, 650 Bigler Rd., University Park from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
OPEN MIC
This bi-weekly event held at 7 p.m. at the Print Factory, 130 S. Allegheny St., Bellefonte, features singing, storytelling and poetry. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for sign in.
CENTRE KNITTERS GUILD
The Centre County Knitters Guild meets on the first Thursday of every month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Patton Township Municipal Building.

THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD FREE CLOTHING BANK
The Light of the World free Clothing Bank will have a “Kick-Off to Fall,” with extended hours on Thursday, Sept. 4, noon-8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 5, noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 6, 9 a.m. to noon. Everything in our inventory will be available, including winter coats, hats, gloves, Christmas clothes, bed linens, towels and other items for all ages.

STORYTELLING GAME NIGHT
Each week there will be a new game being hosted at the Print Factory, 130 S. Allegheny St., Bellefonte from 5 to 7 p.m. where players can create characters, worlds and stories together. Additionally, a collection of storytelling games for groups and individuals is kept in the back room to be used when the room is unoccupied.
BACK TO SCHOOL BASH
Kick off the school year at Discovery Space, 1224 N. Atherton St., State College from 5 to 7 p.m. with color, creativity, and curiosity. Explore hands-on STEM exhibits, get a free folder and pencil (while supplies last) and a get a sneak peek at all of the exciting programs coming this year such as after-school clubs, weekend programs and birthday parties.
FIRST FRIDAY
Experience the cool vibe of downtown State College at MLK Plaza from 5 to 8 p.m. featuring art, people-watching, mingling with friends, shopping, and dining at the diverse and delectable State College restaurants. First Friday goers will experience after-hours access to galleries and shops, free bites and beverages, live music, retail and restaurant specials, and more. Free parking available in the Pugh, Fraser and Beaver garages with validations from participating merchants.
SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Angie Lavanish & Big Red will entertain at a free concert at Lemont Village Green, 133 Mount Nittany Rd., Lemont from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
FRIDAY CONCERT ON THE VILLAGE GREEN
Angie Lavanish will perform the Friday Concert on the Village Green beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Lemont Village Green in Lemont. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair for sitting and are welcome to bring a picnic. Ice cream cones will be served by Scout Troop 367, with a contribution to the troop for projects.

NITTANY VALLEY WRITERS NETWORK
Nittany Valley Writers Network will meet at 6:30 p.m. in Schlow Library’s Community Room, 211 S. Allen St., State College. Author and graphic designer L. Bossi will speak on self-publishing and creating her trilogy of fully illustrated high fantasy novels — The Piri Project: Exordium, Nadir, and Apotheosis.
