Penn State’s Harrison Wallace, Elliot Washington Ruled Active Ahead of Big Ten Championship

Penn State is set to return two impact players from injury against Oregon in Saturday’s Big Ten Championship. Harrison Wallace III, the team’s leading wide receiver, and cornerback Elliot Washington II have both been ruled active prior to kickoff.

Wallace, who leads the Nittany Lions with 35 receptions and 579 yards, did not play against Maryland last weekend. He was an active participant at Wednesday’s practice viewing session, as was Washington. 

James Franklin said after practice on Wednesday that he was hopeful both would play against the Ducks.

Washington was ruled inactive for each of the Nittany Lions’ past two games. Despite his absence, Washington leads the team with five pass deflections and has an interception, tackle for loss and 19 total tackles on the year.

Penn State linebacker DaKaari Nelson, who has played in all 12 games this season, is questionable.

In total, nine Nittany Lions were ruled out, none being surprises. Here’s the list: Kevin Winston Jr., Kaden Saunders, Cam Wallace, Keon Wylie, Zurich Fisher, Alonzo Ford, Kaleb Artis, Anthony Donkoh and Andrew Rappleyea.

Donkoh, who sustained a long-term injury at Minnesota on Nov. 23, traveled with the team to Indianapolis and was in crutches during warmups.
