Penn State Football: Nittany Lions Add Key Target on Signing Day

Penn State football has landed more talent along the offensive line as tackle Chimdy Onoh committed to the Nittany Lions’ 2023 class on the second Signing Day of the year.The Dundalk, Maryland native hits the scales at 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds. The rest of Penn State’s 2023 class signed during the early signing period late in 2022.

The Nittany Lions picked up his services over the likes of Michigan State, Ole Miss and Rutgers among many others. Onoh had recently taken a visit to all three schools, visiting State College in mid January.

According to the 247 Network, Onoh is rated the No. 149 prospect in the nation and No. 13 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 4 prospect in Maryland overall. The 247 Network Composite rankings have Onoh as the No. 5 prospect in Maryland and No. 20 offensive tackle in the class.

Onoh joins J’Ven Williams, Alex Birchmeier and Anthony Donkoh as the offensive line prospects to join the Nittany Lions for the 2023 class. Penn State started off its 2024 cycle with a verbal commitment from interior offensive lineman Cooper Cousins who is the No. 128 prospect in his class while the 2025 cycle began just a few days ago with the verbal commitment from Jaelyne Matthews who is currently ranked the No. 60 prospect in the nation and the No. 5 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle.
