Penn State football announced game themes for its seven home contests on Monday, including the annual White Out, Stripe Out and Helmet Stripe games. The game themes are as follows.

Sept. 2 – West Virginia (7:30 p.m. – NBC): Helmet Stripe, 107k Family Reunion

  • For the second time ever, Beaver Stadium will have a “helmet stripe” stadium layout. The majority of Beaver Stadium will wear white, while a select amount of sections on the east and west side of the stadium will wear blue, to resemble one of Penn State’s helmets.

Sept. 9 – Delaware: THON; Spirit Day; Youth Sport Day

  • Penn State football will be partnering with THON, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. THON has raised more than $204,000,000 in its history to benefit Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital in the fight against childhood cancer. Families and THON volunteers will be invited to the game and the team will wear a THON helmet sticker.

Sept. 23 – Iowa (8 p.m. – CBS): White Out

  • All fans are encouraged to wear white attire to ensure a Penn State White Out for the clash with the Hawkeyes.
  • Fans can purchase the official 2023 Penn State White Out shirt, produced in collaboration with Nike, here.

Oct. 14 – UMass: Homecoming, Generations of Greatness

  • Penn State Homecoming will celebrate the 2023-24 Guide State Forward award winners during the game. The annual Homecoming Parade will return to campus and downtown State College on Friday night, October 13.
  • The Penn State football team will once again turn back the clock for a special “Generations of Greatness” game. The Nittany Lions will don uniforms with design elements from uniforms past.

Oct. 28 – Indiana: Military Appreciation Day; Seats for Servicemembers

  • Penn State will honor the men and women who have bravely served our country by dedicating a game to them when the Nittany Lions take the field against Indiana. This year’s Military Appreciation theme will be honoring military families and the sacrifices they also make for our country.
  • Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets to be donated to military members and their families through the “Seats for Servicemembers” program. ROTC elite, active duty, veterans and military families will be honored during the game. To support the “Seats for Servicemembers” program, call 1-800-NITTANY.

Nov. 11 – Michigan: Penn State Stripe Out

  • Michigan will mark the return of the Penn State Stripe Out. Each section will be coordinated in either all blue or white clothing to create a stripe effect in Beaver Stadium.
  • Fans can learn their stripe out color at PennStateStripeOut.com.

Nov. 18 – Rutgers: Senior Day; All-U Day

  • The home schedule concludes with Senior Day. The Nittany Lion seniors will be introduced for the final time in front of the Beaver Stadium faithful.
  • The annual All-University Day will include involvement of student representatives from all Penn State campuses during halftime.
