Class of 2025 three-star wide receiver Lyrick Samuel has committed to Penn State football, he announced on Monday. Samuel is the 12th commit and the first wide receiver to join the Nittany Lions’ 2025 recruiting class.

Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Samuel is ranked as the No. 102 wide receiver in the nation and the second-best player in his home state, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. Samuel is the lowest-ranked player in the Nittany Lions recruiting class, which holds six four-stars and eight three-stars, and is ranked No. 6 in the nation by the 247Sports Composite.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and 175 pounds, Samuel caught 27 passes for 693 yards and 11 touchdowns during his junior year at Erasmus Hall High School, which was ranked No. 14 in New York last season by MaxPreps.

Samuel chose Penn State over the likes of Michigan State, Rutgers and Syracuse. To see what he can bring to the Nittany Lions, check out his Hudl.
