Report: Penn State RB Nick Singleton Breaks Foot at Senior Bowl Practice

A former Nittany Lion has been dealt an unfortunate blow.

During Thursday’s practice for the upcoming Panini Senior Bowl, running back Nick Singleton broke his foot, according to a report by Rich Scarcella of the Reading Eagle.

The annual postseason event was slated for Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and offers players a last chance to impress NFL coaches and scouts before the draft. Injuries during the week are rare due to the watered down nature of the practices and games, but they can happen and may significantly impact draft stock.

Singleton was coming off a disappointing senior season when he took 123 carries for a career-low 549 yards 13 touchdowns, adding 24 receptions for 219 yards and one score through the air. Viewed as a potential late first-rounder entering the year, recent projections had Singleton pegged as a Day 2 or Day 3 pick.

With uncertainty about his status following the injury and an underwhelming 2025 campaign, teams may stray away from the former five-star prospect, who holds the Penn State program record for career touchdowns.

Other Nittany Lions set to compete in the bowl include running back Kaytron Allen, defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton, defensive tackle Zane Durant, safety Zakee Wheatley and offensive lineman Drew Shelton. It will be televised on the NFL Network.
