Penn State running back Nick Singleton has been cleared to play at Purdue on Saturday. Singleton, who exited with an injury in the third quarter against Washington last weekend, was not listed on the Big Ten’s weekly availability report, signaling his availability.
Singleton’s 761 scrimmage yards is the second most by a Nittany Lion this season, and his seven total touchdowns are tied for a team-high. James Franklin said on Wednesday he was “confident” that Singleton, who was a full participant at that day’s practice viewing session, would be healthy enough to play against the Boilermakers.
Also seemingly cleared to play is defensive tackle Coziah Izzard, who did not appear against the Huskies after he was ruled questionable prior to kickoff. Izzard played in each of Penn State’s first eight games, tallying nine tackles and two tackles for loss.
Dani Dennis-Sutton, a starting defensive end who has dealt with injuries since an Oct. 26 trip to Wisconsin, also appears good to go. He has two sacks on the year.
No players were listed questionable this week, but six were ruled out: safety Kevin Winston Jr., wide receiver/punt returner Kaden Saunders, running back Cam Wallace, linebacker Keon Wylie, defensive end Zuriah Fisher and tight end Andrew Rappleyea.
