Penn State Secures Commitment From State High’s Henry Lustig, Son of Special Teams Coordinator

Penn State’s latest commitment has a familiar last name.

Henry Lustig, son of Nittany Lion special teams coordinator Justin Lustig, on Thursday evening announced his commitment as a preferred walk-on. Henry plays both wide receiver and cornerback and is unranked by major recruiting sites.

He’s spent the last two seasons playing for State College Area High School after his father took the job with Penn State ahead of the 2024 season after previously working in the same role at Vanderbilt.

Lustig made an impact in all three phases in 2025, totaling 642 receiving yards and 418 total return yards for 11 total touchdowns, plus 39 tackles and two interceptions, per MaxPreps. The year prior, he’s credited with 170 receiving yards, 268 return yards, three touchdowns, 53 tackles and four interceptions. He had a punt return touchdown each season.

Lustig is the 15th commitment in Penn State’s 2026 recruiting class, which ranks No. 85 overall and No. 17 in the Big Ten, ahead of only Nebraska, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
