As rookie minicamps get underway, former Nittany Lions have selected their first jersey numbers in the NFL.

Here are the digits they chose.

Vega Ioane: 71

Penn State’s lone first-round pick is sticking with his college number while with the Baltimore Ravens.

Drew Allar: 16

Allar decided to bump up one number at the professional level, allowing wide receiver Ben Skowronek to retain No. 15. According to DK Pittsburgh Sports, there’s no rhyme or reason to the choice.

Drew Shelton: 67

Shelton also went up one digit from his college number for his first year with the Dallas Cowboys, with guard T.J. Bass already claiming No. 66.

Dani Dennis-Sutton: 51

Dennis-Sutton is swapping out his No. 33 for No. 51 with the Green Bay Packers, the same number former teammate Abdul Carter wore last season with the New York Giants. Carter has since moved to No. 3.

Zakee Wheatley: 38

Wheatley went from No. 6 into double digits with the Carolina Panthers, though his college number was available.

Nick Singleton: 32

Singleton also jumped into the 30s with the Tennessee Titans, allowing quarterback Mitch Trubisky to remain at No. 10.

Zane Durant: 92

After rocking No. 28 for four seasons at Penn State, Durant jumped up to No. 92 with the Buffalo Bills, last worn by another former Nittany Lion defensive tackle — DaQuan Jones.

Kaytron Allen: 31

With wide receiver Treylon Burks already occupying No. 13 for the Washington Commanders, Allen went with the reverse of his college number at No. 31. It’s also one number off from Singleton, his co-starter for the last four years.

Devonte Ross: 24

After wearing No. 7 at Troy and No. 5 at Penn State, Ross jumped up to No. 24 with the Los Angeles Chargers, which is shared with rookie defensive back Rodney Shelley, so one may have to switch if they both land on special teams.

Nick Dawkins: 53

Dawkins is sticking with the usual, remaining at No. 53 with the Baltimore Ravens.

Dom DeLuca: 42

DeLuca began his Nittany Lion career wearing No. 34, but he switched to No. 0 after safety Jonathan Sutherland graduated. Now, he’ll wear No. 42 at Ravens minicamp.

Nolan Rucci: 76

Rucci wore No. 66 at Wisconsin and No. 72 after transferring to Penn State. His new No. 76 with the Indianapolis Colts is a combination of the two.

Khalil Dinkins: 82

After signing with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent, Dinkins swapped his No. 16 for No. 82.

Trebor Peña: 86

At Syracuse, Peña wore No. 2, but he switched to No. 8 with the Nittany Lions, allowing Liam Clifford to keep his number. While both numbers were available with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the wide receiver pivoted to a higher number.

Tyler Duzansky: 46

The Nittany Lions’ long snapper is making a slight tweak, going from No. 48 down to No. 46. Rookie defensive end Cian Slone chose No. 48.
