Penn State added to its 2024 recruiting class on Monday evening following the verbal commitment from 4-star edge rusher Jaylen Harvey.
The Maryland native chose Penn State over Maryland, Florida and USC. Harvey hails from Quince Orchard High School, the same high school as current Penn State defensive end Chop Robinson.
Harvey is rated the No. 360 ranked prospect in the class, the No. 30 edge rusher and the No. 13 rated prospect in the state of Maryland according to the 247 Network and joins Penn State as the 25th member of the class. Tight end Luke Reynolds, running back Quinton Martin and quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer headline the class. Harvey is the third defensive line prospect to join the class alongside Mylachi Williams, Xavier Gilliam and De’Andre Cook.
Harvey hits the scales at 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds and was recruited by former Nittany Lion and first-year defensive line coach Deion Barnes.
