Penn State football continued a wave of momentum on the recruiting trail with a fourth verbal commitment since Saturday as four-star linebacker Max Granville announced his decision on Monday evening.
Granville hails from Sugar Land, Texas and is ranked the No. 22 linebacker overall and the No. 28 player in his home state, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He marks the second-highest-ranked recruit in Penn State’s 2025 class trailing behind cornerback Daryus Dixson, who committed to Penn State last week. The Nittany Lions 2025 class is ranked No. 11 in the nation by 247Sports so far.
Penn State won Granville’s services over programs such as Texas A&M as well as Oklahoma. He hits the scales at 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds.
The four player commitment swing comes following the loss of two commitments earlier in the weekend during what has been a busy, if not slightly chaotic, several days for James Franklin and his staff.
