Penn State added another Pennsylvania player to its 2026 recruiting class on Friday night with a commitment from three-star defensive lineman Alexander Haskell.
The 6-foot-4, 265-pound prospect out of Philadelphia’s St. Joe’s Prep is rated the No. 26 prospect in Pennsylvania and No. 75 defensive lineman in the nation in the 247Sports Composite ranking.
He chose the Nittany Lions over Michigan, Duke and Syracuse in his final four. He also held offers from Ohio State, Miami, Wisconsin and Pitt, among others.
Haskell recorded 32 tackles and 5.5 sacks during his junior season, helping to lead the Hawks to their third consecutive PIAA Class 6A title.
With Haskell’s commitment, Penn State’s 2026 recruiting class is now 16 players deep and ranked No. 4 in the country by 247. He is the second defensive lineman to commit to the Nittany Lions this cycle, joining Delaware three-star Isaac Chukwurah, and is the group’s seventh in-state commitment.
