Penn State has landed a new commitment just before National Signing Day. Brian Kortovich, a three-star tight end from Cleveland, flipped his commitment from Purdue to the Nittany Lions on Wednesday. He becomes the 26th player of the team’s 2025 recruiting class.
The 6-foot-4, 224-pound Kortovich had been committed to the Boilermakers since June 11. He was in attendance for Penn State’s 44-7 victory over Maryland this past Saturday.
Kortovich, who ranks as the nation’s No. 519 overall player by 247Sports, joins four-star Matt Henderson as the second tight end set to sign with the Nittany Lions on Wednesday.
Even with Tyler Warren, the Big Ten’s tight end of the year, set to depart, Penn State’s depth at the position appears as strong as ever.
Kortovich and Henderson are set to join a room led by returning contributors such as Khalil Dinkins, Luke Reynolds and Andrew Rappleyea.
