Penn State Earns Transfer Commitment From Former USC WR Kyron Hudson

Penn State has landed its first transfer commitment of the cycle. Former USC wide receiver Kyron Hudson, who tallied 462 receiving yards and three touchdowns this season, announced his pledge to the Nittany Lions on Monday night. 

Hudson heads to Penn State after four years with the Trojans, with whom he played in 40 total games and combined for 807 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. He’ll have one year of eligibility remaining.

Husdson’s commitment comes on the same day starting quarterback Drew Allar announced his return to Penn State for the 2025 season.

Looking ahead to next year, Hudson should make a case to crack the Nittany Lions’ starting lineup, presumably alongside returnees Harrison Wallace III and Omari Evans. 

Hudson has shown flashes of greatness, such as his one-handed grab against LSU, and could provide an immediate spark for an explosive offense, led by offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki, lacking starpower at wide receiver.

It’s likely Penn State is just getting started in the transfer portal, and could potentially use another wide receiver. Aside from that position, the Nittany Lions have hosted a number of visitors thus far, most notably former USC defensive tackle Bear Alexander.
