A quickly rising prospect has become the latest addition to Penn State’s 2026 recruiting class. Jerquaden Guilford, a three-star wide receiver from Northrop High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions on Friday.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Guilford has garnered increased national attention over the past year. He chose Penn State over other offers from Ohio State, Georgia, Tennessee, Miami (FL) and more.
Guilford is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 649 overall player in the 2026 cycle.
He becomes the eighth member of a Penn State recruiting class that currently ranks No. 3 nationally. That class is highlighted by four-star offensive lineman Kevin Brown and four-star running back Messiah Mickens, who was named Pennsyalvania’s Gatorade Player of the Year on Friday.
Guilford joins three-stars Jahsiear Rogers and Lavar Keys as the Nittany Lions’ third wide receiver of the cycle.
Penn State has now earned a pair of commitments on Friday after Class of 2025 four-star Andrew Olesh flipped from Michigan just before Guilford’s announcement.
