Penn State has added to its 2026 recruiting class with a pledge from a Western Pennsylvania prospect. David Davis, a three-star athlete from Pittsburgh’s Imani Christian Academy, announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions on Tuesday.

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Davis, who will visit Penn State on Tuesday, also held offers from programs such as Tennessee, Pittsburgh and Michigan State. He becomes the ninth member of the Nittany Lions’ 2026 recruiting class, which ranks No. 7 nationally by 247Sports.

Davis has played both defensive back and running back over the course of his three-year high school career. He joins a class headlined by four-star offensive tackle Kevin Brown, running back Messiah Mickens and safety Matt Sieg.

Davis also becomes the fourth prospect from Pennsylvania to commit to Penn State as part of the recruiting class, joining Brown, Mickens and Sieg.
