Penn State Earns Christmas Eve Commitment From Linebacker Keian Kaiser

Christmas came early for Penn State, which added its third commitment in a 24-hour span on Wednesday morning.

Three-star linebacker Keian Kaiser, a former Iowa State signee, was offered and committed to the Nittany Lions, he announced on social media. Kaiser ranks as the No. 10 Nebraska prospect, No. 97 linebacker and No. 1,129 overall recruit in the class, per the 247Sports composite rankings. He decommitted from the Cyclones on Dec. 10 and also picked up an offer from Minnesota this month.

Kaiser becomes the only linebacker in Penn State’s class, which is up to nine members after sitting at just two on Early National Signing Day. The group ranks No. 121 and last in the Big Ten, but it’s slowly gaining on Nebraska, which has just 10 commitments.

He joins offensive linemen Pete Eglitis and Mason Bandhauer, who committed to the Nittany Lions on Tuesday night, as well as safeties Tyrell Chatman and Bryson Williams, quarterback Kase Evans and punter Lucas Tenbrock as former Iowa State signees to follow head coach Matt Campbell to the Keystone State. They join quarterback Peyton Falzone and defensive end Jackson Ford, the Nittany Lions’ first two signees.

The current expectation is Dan Connor will remain as Penn State’s linebackers coach into next season after stepping into the role for the first time last offseason.
