Penn State at Michigan State Availability Report: Chaz Coleman Out, A.J. Harris Questionable

Both Penn State and Michigan State will be operating well below full strength when they face off on Saturday afternoon.

Per the Nittany Lions’ pregame availability report, defensive end Chaz Coleman remains out after interim head coach Terry Smith said he was “day-to-day” and hoped he’d be available. Coleman missed last week’s contest versus Indiana and wasn’t seen during the media viewing window of Wednesday’s practice.

Safety Antoine Belgrave-Shorter, defensive end Cortez Harris, wide receiver Ethan Black and quarterback Bekkem Kritza are all new additions to the players listed as “out.” Kritza has been in and out of the availability report this season but was seen practicing this week and was questionable last Saturday.

Additionally, cornerback A.J. Harris and center Dom Rulli are questionable to play.

The Nittany Lions will also be without players who have been out for multiple weeks: quarterback Drew Allar, linebacker Tony Rojas, wide receivers Kaden Saunders, Peter Gonzalez and Josiah Brown, defensive end Max Granville, linebackers Kari Jackson and Jackson Pryts, defensive end Mason Robinson, defensive tackles Owen Wafle and Kaleb Artis, offensive linemen Brady O’Hara and Liam Horan, cornerback Donte Nastasi and defensive end Jordon Mayer.

For the Spartans, quarterback Aidan Chiles is listed as out, though he wasn’t expected to start. Allesio Milivojevic took over the starting role last week against Minnesota and played well, though Chiles wasn’t on the availability report, indicating he was benched for performance reasons.

Additionally, wide receiver Alante Brown, defensive backs Nikai Martinez, Chance Rucker and Ade Willie, linebacker Marcellius Pulliam, tight ends Brennan Parachek and Jayden Savoury, kicker Tarik Ahmetbasic, long snapper Kaden Schickel, defensive lineman Ben Roberts and offensive linemen Stanton Ramil and Kristian Phillips are out for the game.

Edge rusher Anelu Lafaele, defensive backs Caleb Gash and Andrew Brinson IV, linebacker Brady Pretzlaff and offensive linemen Ashton Lepo and Luka Vincic remain out for the year.
