Penn State football will return to the early slate for its Oct. 5 matchup with UCLA. The Nittany Lions and Bruins will kickoff at noon EDT in Beaver Stadium, with FOX set to broadcast the contest.
The matchup will mark Penn State’s fourth consecutive home game and third noon affair of the season. While it shouldn’t make much difference for the Nittany Lions and the majority of their fanbase, the 9 a.m. PDT local kick for California residents is a bit of a head scratcher.
The Bruins currently own a 1-2 record in the first year under head coach DeShaun Foster. They most recently sustained a 34-17 loss to No. 14 LSU on Saturday.
UCLA will become Penn State’s first newly initiated Big Ten opponent since the conference expanded to 18 teams. The Nittany Lions will also play at USC on Oct. 12 and host Washington on Nov. 9.
This weekend, the No. 9 Nittany Lions will host No. 19 Illinois at 7:30 p.m. on NBC.
