Defensive end Adisa Isaac is returning for his fifth year at Penn State, he wrote on Twitter on Sunday night.

This past season, Isaac totaled 28 tackles, 11 for a loss, and four sacks while playing in all 13 games. He made a season-high five tackles against Minnesota and Utah and was named a third-team All-Big Ten honoree by the coaches following the regular season.

“In the past four years, it was truly been a pleasure to play football for Penn State University and learn from some of the most influential coaches and staff in the football industry, along with gaining a brotherhood that will forever be in my life,” Isaac wrote. “With that being said, after careful time and thought with my family, I will be returning to Penn State in 2023.”

It wasn’t long before Isaac saw the field in 2019 as a true freshman. In 11 appearances, he totaled 14 tackles and 1.5 sacks. The next year in 2020, Isaac totaled 13 tackles and 1.5 sacks in nine appearances before missing the entire 2021 season due to injury.

The Brooklyn native was a four-star prospect and the No. 1 player in New York in the Class of 2019. He was the No. 4-ranked player at his position and No. 92-ranked player in the country that year, according to 247Sports.
