Penn State continued to add to its 2026 recruiting class on Sunday with a commitment from a four-star defensive end prospect.
Tyson Harley, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound edge rusher from Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., picked the Nittany Lions over his other top-five schools: Maryland, Michigan State, Rutgers and Virginia Tech.
Harley is rated the No. 2 overall prospect in D.C. this recruiting cycle and the No. 33 defensive end in the nation, according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. He had 30 solo tackles, six sacks and 11 tackles for loss during his junior season, according to MaxPreps.
He is the second recruiting commitment of the weekend for Penn State, joining New Jersey three-star offensive tackle Marlen Bright, who announced his decision on Saturday.
Harley becomes the 25th commitment to the Nittany Lions’ 2026 recruiting class, which is currently ranked No. 14 in the 247 Composite, and the second edge rusher in the group alongside Jackson Samuels Ford, a four-star prospect from Malvern Prep.
