4-Star Defensive Lineman Liam Andrews Commits to Penn State

Four-star defensive lineman Liam Andrews committed to Penn State football Friday, he announced via livestream. Andrews, who chose the Nittany Lions over Wisconsin and South Carolina, becomes the 23rd member of the program’s recruiting Class of 2024 and the group’s fourth defensive line commit.

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound product of Dexter School in Brookline, Massachusetts is ranked as the nation’s No. 92 overall prospect and 14th-best defensive lineman, as well as the No. 2 player in his home state, according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings. He becomes the top-ranked defensive lineman in Penn State’s recruiting class, ahead of No. 20-ranked edge rusher Mylachi Williams.

Andrews joins an already strong Penn State recruiting group, which was ranked No. 7 in the country before his commitment. He is rated the second-best recruit in the class, overtaking fast-rising tight end Luke Reynolds and sitting behind projected running back Quinton Martin. He joins Williams, Xavier Gilliam, and De’Andre Cook as the group’s defensive linemen.
