Penn State men’s basketball’s nonconference slate has been finalized.
Between reports, rumors and other teams’ schedule releases, pieces of the puzzle had fallen into place already. But on Friday morning, the team officially revealed its full out-of-conference slate, including 11 opponents and dates for the matchups. The 2025 nonconference slate is as follows:
Vs. Fairfield, Nov. 3
At New Haven, Nov. 8
Vs. Navy, Nov. 11
At La Salle, Nov. 15
Vs. Harvard, Nov. 19
At Providence, Nov. 22
Vs. Boston, Nov. 25
Vs. Sacred Heart, Nov. 29
Vs. Campbell, Dec. 2
At Pitt, Dec. 21
Vs. NC Central, Dec. 29
Penn State’s matchup against La Salle will be played at Xfinity Mobile Arena, home of the Philadelphia 76ers, and its meeting with in-state rival Pitt will come at the GIANT Center in Hershey.
Notably, none of the Nittany Lions’ nonconference opponents made the NCAA Tournament last season, providing a low strength of schedule throughout the early going of Mike Rhoades’ third season leading the team.
Tipoff times will be announced at a later date, as well as the full conference schedule.
