In its first season under new director Greg Drane, the Blue Band is sounding as good as ever…but ever wonder how the show looks and sounds as a member of the band on the field in front of a Beaver Stadium crowd? Wonder no longer.
Blue Band member Nathan Pearlman attached a GoPro to his sousaphone during the band’s pregame performance before last Saturday’s Penn State-San Diego State game.
Pearlman has a great field position — directly next to drum major Jimmy Frisbie’s pre-flip path and the drumline. The video starts before the band marches onto the field and gives an intimate look at the entirety of the band’s trademark “Floating Lions” drill and the pregame tunnel.
