Victim 1 Grants First Interview, to Write Tell-All Book, Report Says

Victim 1, the 18-year-old whose allegations of abuse against Jerry Sandusky launched the grand jury investigation, will give his first interview and write a tell-all book, according to the New York Post. 

Page Six of the New York Post learned on Wednesday that Victim 1 granted ABC News the interview, which will be aired around the same time his book is released, which is expected in about one month. 

Victim 1 broke down on the witness stand as he gave his testimony at Sandusky’s trial in June. The man detailed persistent abuse by Sandusky, a man he thought had entered his life for good. When Victim 1 finally had enough and tried to tell officials about the sexual abuse he we being subjected to over and over again, no one believed him at first. 

Eventually, an investigation was started based on the allegations of Victim 1. It led to the grand jury investigation and presentment, detailing the sexual abuse suffered by 10 boys at the hands of Sandusky. After the presentment’s release in November, Sandusky was charged and top leadership at Penn State was ousted. 

Sandusky, 68, was convicted on June 22 of 45 of 48 counts of sexually abusing 10 boys over a 15-year period. He will be sentenced on Oct. 9.
