UPDATED: State High Student Located after Failing to Return Home

Patton Township police are searching for a State College Area High School student who didn’t return home from school Tuesday, authorities said.

The student, identified as Iain Henderson, 16, was last seen leaving State High before the end of the school day, police said.

‘He has not returned home; nor has he contacted family or friends,’ police wrote in a news release shortly before 11 p.m. ‘He was last known to be wearing blue jeans, a dark-colored winter coat, a plaid button-down shirt with a tan collar, and sneakers. He was also last seen carrying a large black backpack.’

Henderson is about 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 125 pounds, police said. He is described as having black hair and brown eyes. He wears glasses, according to a police description.
